Verna + Lois = Verlo
In 1958, two entrepreneurs in Illinois began handcrafting mattresses for their furniture store. These mattresses quickly became a bigger hit than the furniture and transformed the focus of their business. Later, when they incorporated in Wisconsin, they renamed their mattress company to reflect their roots, combining the first names of their wives—Verna and Lois—to create Verlo. With that, a legacy of comfort was born.
