Businessman excited to bring new VerloMattress franchises to western North Carolina

Robinson, a furniture manufacturer in the Tar Heel State. The 2 stores will be located in Hickory and Charlotte, and will have their grand openings later this year. Robinson owns Cabinet Solutions, which specializes in custom cabinetry for homes, and he also recently acquired Cox Manufacturing, a furniture manufacturing company. He says Verlo’s business model attracted him right away. “I was looking to add on to the existing beds and headboards that we personally manufacture. When I did the research and found out that Verlo manufactures its own mattresses, it was kind of a win/win situation for me.”

Like Verlo mattresses, the furniture produced in Robinson’s factories is all made to order. “Everything is custom. I don’t have any widgets where we’re able to say we have a 1,000 of these in the back or anything like that.”

The new stores will be a Verlo Mattress factory store, with a showroom in the front and a mattress assembly area in the back so customers can see their mattresses being made. Along with a satellite showroom that will be supported by the factory store. Verlo Mattress Director of Franchise Development Bobby Cleveland says Robinson already has the right tools for

Robinson resides in Granite Falls with his wife and children. He thinks Hickory is an ideal location for a high-quality mattress store like Verlo Mattress, known for helping customers discover a better night’s sleep. Chris Robinson says “In the manufacturing world, Hickory is known as the furniture capital of the world. So, you have a lot of first, second and third shift employees working long hours. When those people do get to sleep, they gotta take advantage of it the best way they can.”
