With Just One Click, You Can Join Verlo in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

On November 29, 2014, the 10-year-old daughter of Matthew Verhaalen, a Verlo team member, passed away from childhood cancer. Alison had been diagnosed with an inoperable and incurable brain tumor called a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

Matt and his wife Tricia wanted something positive to come from this unspeakable tragedy so they turned their efforts to raising funds to help other children diagnosed with childhood cancer. They chose to dedicate their fundraising efforts to the development of a “Cure Childhood Cancer License Plate” for the State of Wisconsin.

In order to put the new license plates into production, Matthew and Tricia need to raise $10,000 to cover fees assessed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and for graphic design, which they hope to receive through their GoFundMe campaign. After only 8 days, their campaign has already received $7,100.

At Verlo, we believe in comfort for sleep as well as in all areas of life. That’s why we want to help raise money to cure childhood cancer and improve the lives of children who are facing the fight against cancer.

And yes, we want to support one of our own.

Verlo has pledged to donate $1 for every “Like” and $2 for every “Share” our special Help Cure Childhood Cancer message receives on Facebook, up to a total of $1500.

Once in production, $25 for each license plate issued annually will be donated to help in the research and cure of childhood cancer, so your participation in making these license plates available will continue to help raise money for curing childhood cancer for many years to come.
